Oct 20, Mara rated it it was amazing. This is where you find out the different things he had to go through to keep from being hungry and finding shelter as a young boy on the streets of a city. Even early on, Kourdakov believed that his choice was either to be a ‘business man’ criminal or to be a communist. This is his true testimony to the world and his petition for forgiveness to the many Believers he persecuted.

The account of how Kourdakov’s police task force became increasingly more brutal after having been first reluctant reminded me of Police Battalion in Ordinary Men by Christopher Browning.

It is a true story and is an amazing testimony. At most, he tells how he began to pray while he was fearing that he would be returned to Libo by the Canadian authorities.

Maestra del Numero Uno: I definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone younger than 13 or Goodreads helps you keep track of books you want to read. Overall this book is very engaging and inspiring.
